A porcelain veneer is custom made in a laboratory and then cemented (requiring two appointments), whereas a composite resin veneer adheres directly to the tooth in one appointment. Veneers can be used for protective or aesthetic reasons. They are a great option for discoloured or damaged teeth, and can even be used to make crooked teeth appear straighter. You may want to consider a veneer if you have:

Crooked or malformed teeth – Chipped, broken or crooked teeth can be masked with a veneer to match the adjacent teeth, or if multiple teeth are veneered we can use a lighter shade to brighten your smile
