Teeth Aligners

Inman Aligner:

The Inman Aligner is a removable appliance that can be used to straighten your front teeth. When worn for 18 hours per day, the Inman aligner uses gentle forces to push teeth into an ideal position. Results can be seen in as little as 8 weeks. It is perfect for small malalignments of the upper and lower front four teeth & in relapse cases after having had braces in the past.

Clear Aligners (eg Invisalign):

Clear aligners are a tailor made straightening system for your teeth. It involves a series of clear plates that are worn at all times except for eating. These plates gradually move your teeth into a more ideal position & are good for mild to moderate crowding. Dr Louise Lilia is a certified provider of both the Invisalign & Clear Correct aligner systems.

Braces

Metal Braces

These are the most common form of braces for teeth straightening. Here at Lyons Dental we use Damon-Q self-ligating brackets. These modern brackets are much smaller and less noticeable than they used to be. They are by far the best option to straighten teeth as they give the most control of tooth movement.

Ceramic Braces

These braces have tooth coloured brackets which make them a less noticeable alternative to metal braces for teeth straightening.

It is important to remember that regardless of how the teeth are straightened some form of lifelong retention is required (with the use of a removable or fixed retainer) to prevent the teeth from moving again.
